
KUWAIT CITY: The Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) and international Saudi newspaper Arab News have signed a Letter of Engagement to enhance cooperation on understanding the impact of artificial intelligence in the media sector and developing best practices to counter online misinformation.
The agreement focuses on knowledge exchange, expert insights, and promoting responsible digital transformation in journalism. DCO Secretary-General Deemah AlYahya said the partnership highlights the importance of credible media in maintaining trust as AI reshapes information ecosystems, while Arab News Editor-in-Chief Faisal J. Abbas emphasized the value of collaboration in navigating technological and regulatory change.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Fifth DCO General Assembly in Kuwait City, held alongside the International Digital Cooperation Forum under the theme “Inclusive Prosperity in the Age of AI.”
