DUBAI: A new book by imprisoned Palestinian political leader Marwan Barghouti will be published in November, with Penguin confirmed as the publisher, according to The Guardian.
Titled “Unbroken: In Pursuit of Freedom for Palestine,” the book compiles Barghouti’s prison letters, interviews, public statements and personal documents, along with excerpts from his Arabic-language work “1,000 Days in Solitary Confinement.” The introduction is written by his wife, Fadwa Barghouti, who said the book allows readers to hear her husband “in his own voice.”
Barghouti, a senior Fatah figure jailed by Israel since 2004, is serving multiple life sentences for his role in the second Palestinian uprising. Widely seen by supporters as a unifying Palestinian leader, his detention has drawn sustained international advocacy, including a high-profile open letter by writers, actors and musicians calling for his release.
