DOHA: The General Directorate of Narcotics Control is participating in the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion at the accompanying exhibition of the joint tactical exercise of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) security agencies, currently being held in Qatar.
The exhibition, titled “Arabian Gulf Security 4,” is taking place from Jan. 30 to Feb. 4, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Through its participation, the directorate is highlighting its efforts to combat drug trafficking at the local, regional, and international levels. The pavilion showcases major domestic and cross-border drug seizures and emphasizes the directorate’s role in strengthening community awareness and resilience against narcotics.
The Ministry of Interior’s pavilion also highlights the Kingdom’s use of artificial intelligence to enhance security operations and crowd management. In addition, it introduces visitors to the ministry’s electronic services provided through the Absher platform.
The joint tactical exercises and accompanying exhibition form part of the GCC’s broader strategy to strengthen regional security cooperation, promote integration among member states, and ensure long-term stability and safety across the Gulf region.
